An interesting and unique work is being done at the Neghah Aftab Mehr Institute in Kerman, which was built by a benefactor. It can be said that this is the only place in the world where such an interesting work is being done by blind people who have built this path themselves, working in the field of carpet weaving. A place where they carry part of the carpet weaving heritage of Kerman province with their hard-working hands and have defeated disability.

The Handwoven Carpet of Kerman: A Shining Jewel in the Heart of the Desert
The handwoven carpet of Kerman is a radiant gem nestled within the vast desert. This authentic art form has roots stretching deep into history back to the days when carpet workshops flourished in the gardens of Mahan and the ancient citadel of Bam, creating masterpieces for royal courts and global markets alike.
With motifs such as the Shah Abbasi, medallion-and-corner (Lachak-Toranj) patterns, and a color palette rich in crimson and turquoise, these carpets vividly reflect the soul of the desert.
Every Kerman rug tells a story woven from thousands of loving knots, made eternal by the patience and artistry of the men and women of this land.
